Someone has finally got it, they’re finally thinking outside the box. People spend countless amounts of money on lottery tickets and slot machines while emptying their savings in hopes that the next one will be the BIG one. If you live in Michigan you may want to keep reading.
Michigan credit unions have created a rewards program that rewards you for saving instead of spending. Simple enough concept right, just wait, it gets better. The “Save to Win” program allows individuals who open accounts in one of the eight participating credit unions, to receive a chance at winning a $100,000 grand prize. Account holders get one entry for every $25 that they save. Don’t worry, the 100 grand isn’t the only prize you’d be vying for, in addition to the grand prize each credit union will award smaller monthly prizes. If you don’t win a prize, don’t worry, because your greatest reward will be a savings account with a balance in the black.
